{+- . Author Comment: A study with a mischievous sense of symmetry:
the White Rook seems undecided whether to pursue enlightenment via
the h-file or the a-file so it tries both! Depending on
Blacks whim, the Tower takes a scenic detour before returning
to the same spiritual destination. In line A, it ventures twice to
the third rank before its pilgrimage to a2; in line B, it chooses
the reverse itinerary. Despite the near-identical final tableau,
the logic of the journey is entirely different a quiet joke on
determinism in chess: the end may be the same, but the path
depends on who moves first. The study also mirrors a timeless
truth, in chess as in life: choosing the immediately available
path is not always the wisest idea. Sometimes its better to
conceal your intentions (1.Be1!), move quietly beneath the radar, and
only then, when the moment ripens, reveal the plan that truly leads
to value.}
